Welcome to the "Off the Rails" contest web page! The response to this year’s edition of the contest has been remarkable and we are impressed by the skill, imagination and time that the participating teams have put into their rail safety message. If you landed here because of your interest in a rail safety contests, we invite you to take a look at another contest called "Tip for Trains Rail Safety Contest" offered by Parachute! The Tips for Trains Rail Safety Contest aims to prevent injury and save lives by reducing rail related injuries and promoting safe behavior around rail road crossings and tracks. This is Canada-wide contest for students in Grades 4-8, offering prizes to the best student-created video or public service announcement. The video/PSA is due online by April 11, 2014 and can be in any creative medium children would like to use (e.g. acting, clay animation, graphics, stop motion photography, etc.). The goal of your video/PSAs should be to inform and motivate people to be more aware of the issue of rail safety and change behavior.
